SAFETY & CARE

Built for everyday use. Designed to be looked after.

A few simple habits keep RECONNECT running smoothly, safely and comfortably.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST NIGHT

Know when not to use RECONNECT.

Children and infants

RECONNECT is not intended for children or infants.

Pregnancy

Do not use RECONNECT during pregnancy.

Unable to remove it yourself

Do not use the product if you would be unable to remove it yourself.

Use with care. Elderly or frail people should use RECONNECT cautiously. Speak to a doctor before use if you have circulatory issues, diabetes or skin sensitivities. Stop using it and consult a doctor if you feel discomfort. RECONNECT is not a medical device.

SAFETY

Simple rules. Better peace of mind.

Keep temperatures sensible

Avoid settings higher or lower than you need and prolonged contact with extreme temperatures.

Check power and cable

Do not use the system if the Control Unit or power cord is damaged.

Keep the Unit dry

Never immerse the Control Unit in water.

Use a level surface

Place the Unit on a firm, level surface so the anti-tip safeguard can work correctly.

Inspect regularly

If you notice damage or wear, stop using RECONNECT and contact support.

Automatic shut off

The Unit shuts off automatically after 12 hours.

No pins or sharp objects

Do not use pins or sharp objects on the Mattress Pad.

Keep the cord clear

Do not tuck or pinch the power cord or plug beneath the bed or Mattress Pad.

No pull-out or fold-up beds

Do not use RECONNECT on a pull-out bed or fold-up bed. If the system operates abnormally, stop using it, unplug it and contact support.

WATER & THE PAD

Light care. Clear steps.

Use clean water

Use distilled, filtered or pure water only. Do not fill above the maximum line.

Top up occasionally

About every two to three months. E3 means the reservoir needs water.

Do not machine wash

Dab spills gently with a damp cloth. Do not soak, bleach, iron, vacuum or dry-clean the Pad.

Use a thin protector

A thin waterproof mattress protector can sit directly over the Mattress Pad.

KEEPING IT DRY

Condensation can happen.

Long cooling sessions in humid conditions can create condensation. If dampness happens only during cooling, raise the cooling setting, use a thin waterproof mattress protector and reduce room humidity where practical.

If moisture appears during heating, the reservoir level drops noticeably, or wetness keeps returning in one area, stop using RECONNECT, unplug it and contact Support. That can indicate a leak rather than condensation.

A periodic warm cycle can help dry normal condensation, but it should not be used to mask a suspected leak.

STORAGE

Drain it before storing.

  1. Switch off and unplug.
  2. Disconnect the water tubes over a towel or tray.
  3. Drain into a jug of at least 1.5 L and use the air pump to clear the Pad.
  4. Seal the ports if protective caps or plugs are supplied.
  5. Fold carefully and store somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight.

ERROR CODES

Two quick checks.

E3

Water shortage

Add clean water until the alert clears.

E1

Internal issue

Switch the Unit off at the outlet, wait five minutes, then restart. If the code returns, contact support.

E2

Fan issue

Switch the Unit off at the outlet, wait five minutes, then restart. If the code returns, contact support.

E4

Temperature sensor issue

Switch the Unit off at the outlet, wait five minutes, then restart. If the code returns, contact support.

When an error triggers, the Control Unit beeps three times and shuts down after one minute.

END OF LIFE

Dispose of it responsibly.

Electrical product recycling

Do not dispose of the Control Unit with ordinary household waste. Use an appropriate electronics collection or recycling service available in your area. If you are unsure what applies locally, contact your local waste authority or email RECONNECT Support.
